Time to toot our own horn a little. This is from a recent customer in South Africa that came back to order more stuff after his experience with us a few years back. Check his story here:
Many, many moons ago in a far off land, I needed some boards in an even further off land of islands.
I had been ripped off from a dealer on Ebay, paid up front, no board. Really pissed off.
In desperation I contacted eBodyboarding.com to see if they could help with some new boards.
I was flying from South Africa to the Maldives in 36 hrs. This was a trip I had planned for months, but I really wanted some new boards to go with it. At the time I was living 600km from the nearest coast so all “surf” shops around me did not stock any decent boards. Imagine, working your ass off and not getting any surf. This was my getaway with my wife to be to a tropical holiday with surf.
I perused eBodyboarding.com and found two boards I really wanted. Knowing I had less than 48hrs to touching down in the Maldives, I contacted Jay to see if we could arrange something.
In less than an hour I had a response from Jay. We traded some emails and he came up with the perfect solution!
My boards and other items could be shipped directly to the island I was staying on in the Maldives!!!!!!
To my disbelief, he even phoned me!!! I was next door watching a football game at the time but still, he called South Africa from the US!!!!! Just to make sure a has been wanna be booger got his boards for a surfari to the tropics. What a legend.
We corresponded some more later that evening (day for him) and arranged all the details.
Now here is the piece de resistance.
I arrived in the Maldives and was a bit jet lagged. I hopped on an early morning boat to have a surf at Cokes. Nice 4 ft barreling tropical water right. Good start to the trip. Upon my return to the island/resort, I got a call from reception.
“Sir, we have a rather large package for you”
“?????”, I was not doing any work on the island so was a big confused with my “package”, bring it to our bungalow I said.
10 minutes later the package arrived, bloody hell, it’s my boards from Eboadyboarding.com!!! Stoked or what. The boards arrived 5 hours after me. With all customs documentation in order, everything cleared by customs all done and dusted.
Now I cannot explain to you the level of service I received in this quick note, suffice to say Jay went out of his way to ensure the order was professionally processed and delivered, to the Maldives. Not many companies/people have ever delivered this type of service to me/my company.
I am in the service industry so I know and appreciate the level of competence and commitment that Jay delivered with my order.
