Well, I waited (procrastinated) nearly a week in posting these, but here are some pics from last weekend's BIA Championships Awards Banquet at Hennessey's Restaurant in Dana Point, CA. Vicki ponied up the entry fee for the Women's division after having success in last November's USBA event at Creek, and won her second contest in as many starts at Creek last Saturday, September 19th. Our good friend and bodyboarding ripper/video editor Rob Isambert sent over some insane frame grabs from the new video "etcetera". Our team rider Andre Moura checked in and said the FBA tour started up and has been a blast. He tells us that, "Finally the summer is gone and last weekend FBA Tour 2009 (Florida Body Boarding Association) had the second and most important double points event of the year. We got word that our East Coast ripper Brian Stoehr just finished up the NYBB pro. He let us know that he won the DK of that too (he also won the Jersey DK event)! But that wasn't it, Brian took 2nd in the Open pro. Brian told us that, "Waves were a little hard, but it was fun! Here is a DK and prone photo that you are good to put on the site!"
