Mammoth trip- Day Two

Mammoth trip- Day Two

Day Two at Mammoth features blue-bird skies and several feet of fresh snow.  I got in half a day and then had to head back to Southern California. I rode around the Chair 9 area and found freshies all morning!  I had a look at the top, and had to head up for a run from top to bottom before heading home. The trip was short and sweet, but well worth the effort!

Endless Winter

Occasionally, I get the itch to head up to Mammoth Lakes, in the Eastern Sierra of California, and do a little snowboarding.  Mammoth gets as much as 650″ of snow in a really good winter, and it’s snowed over 400″ this winter so far, so even though there was some swell, I headed up for a few turns.  It’s a good 5:45hr drive from SoCal, but the snow is world class.  Took this pics with my trusty cell phone on the...
